Silverthorne Classes:
TRIBAL FUSION BELLYDANCE I (Beginners) Silverthorne Recreation Center (970) 262-7370 Dive in to the mystical and beautiful art of Tribal Bellydance in this 8-week
course. Each class will include emphasis on posture, simple stretches and drills, and a breakdown of one or two slow
moves and one or two fast moves. Learn rhythm patterns, dance formations and costuming. The course culminates
with our popular all-levels, full-costume bellydance recital, held the 9th week. It's a chance for your friends and
family to admire your technique! Each class builds on the class before, so regular attendance is important. No

offered...keep an eye out for workshops for Spring/Summer 2010!! CMC's Belly
Dance with Props series is being offered 3 consecutive Thursday nights from 6pm to 7:30pm
starting Jan 14 and ending on Jan 28.
They are open to anyone who has taken a beginner class and you can take one or all three classes. Lucy is teaching and registation
is with CMC. Here is more info on each class and where to buy the props: Week
1: Fan Dancing This class will fuse influences from Spanish Flamenco dancing
and American Tribal Style belly dancing by introducing a Spanish fan into ATS moves. New moves will be taught along with
cues for improv dancing and some choreography. Students must have taken at least one introduction to ATS belly dancing and
purchase a fan from the following website before the class: Week 2: Belly Dancing with Zils (finger cymbals) Week 3: Sword Dancing This class will cover how to select a sword
that compliments your body, care and maintainance of your sword and introduce new sword moves that involve handling your
sword as well as balancing it on different parts of the body. Students must have taken at least one introduction to ATS belly
dance class. No purchase of swords necessary--practice wooden swords will be available for use during the class.
